When a Bangladeshi chef prepares north Indian food, it tastes quite evident. It has a very large dining area with lots of empty tables. Since it was almost the last option left at the end of street, I walked in and ordered the standard Indian meal – Butter Chicken, Dal Makhni and the rest. Tasted good. The service standards are quite lousy to say the least. Servers are just not interested. Visit only when there are no options left in the area.
Not the restaurant that it was 10 years ago. A large restaurant offering Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine. The food is now average and generally underwhelming. If you are adventurous, ask the chef to cook you a ‘Shatkora’ Lamb or Chicken curry. A Shatkora is a bitter citrus fruit found in North Eastern Bengal and Assam and is a local delicacy. It has been popping up on many Bangladeshi restaurant menus in recent years, but is usually available even if it is not listed on the menu. The Shatkora curry here is rather good. Yes, Asianhawk has a penchant for Shatkora!Halal.
