Every now and then you just need to get your girls together and have an old fashioned chinwag; and that dollop of gossip is best washed down with a couple of cocktails. I’m by no means a cocktail aficionado, I usually stick with the tried and test cosmopolitan, margarita, or previously (before overdosing on them in Cuba) a mojito. And when there’s nothing familiar on the menu I choose something random usually with mixed results but hey, I’ll drink it anyway. Waste not, want not.Bump caves is definitely one of those places where everything was unfamiliar and new, but very much exciting! It lives up to the caves vibe in its name, it’s a bit dark and grungy and also a bit of fun if you’re keen to try something new. Apparently they distill a lot, if not all of their spirits, which they mix into some whacky concoctions. The most memorable? Definitely the one where you lick the battery after a sip or two… buzzy. If you’re looking for an easy to knock back, fruity concoction, you may be out of luck- these drinks are serious business and pack a punch! connieconsumes.com
Impressed by the bar and the drinks but not by the service. I got a glass of red wine that I could tell was off by the smell didn’t even have to taste it. I took it to the bar to get it replaced and one of the bar staff said that’s how it smells!! I was shocked at the lack of customer service. That said the other bar staff agreed with me and replaced my wine. But I expect better service when a service charge is added to a drinks bill!
