After spending a week in London, I had a strong urge to step out and eat some Indian food. Since this restaurant is right opposite my office and Im usually pressed for time, I decided to visit this place for a quick bite. Not only is this place unkempt, the staff is very rude. I asked for a glass of water but the waiters didnt bother and carried around their business, serving beer to their English clients. I asked three servers before I was served water. I placed a simple order of chicken tikka biryani. They served the biryani with a vegetable curry. The mint chutney was anything but chutney. It had no trace of mint. The chicken biryani was sweet and was full of raisins that added to the sweet quotient. The accompanying vegetable curry was tasteless. When asked the waiter if they could serve raita, he pretended he didnt know the meaning the raita. I told him its a yogurt dip that is usually a side dish but missing on the menu. He made a face and said, yogurt would be a separate order. I eventually asked for a mint chutney, which again the waiter failed to understand. I had to explain its a mint sauce. Fine you are serving English people some horrible food in the name of Indian cuisine but the least you could do is, train your staff better. As Indians working at an Indian restaurant, they shouldnt act surprised when someone asks for either raita or mint chutney.

After a long day on the road, we was in need of something to eat. We was staying near London Bridge Station so wanted somewhere local. This was a busy little restaurant but managed to seat us almost imediatley. The food was fresh and delicious the menu was great for all tastes and budgets. Drinks including wines and beers available and at reasonable prices especially for London City.
