Shanel’s is a local institution and rightly so. There are a number of fast food outlets in the area and overpriced eateries. Shanel’s offers an independent family business, honest simple food, reasonable prices, and really great service. The cafe is quite small in size, but the welcome is huge. Everything here is very good. My favourites are baked potatoes with tuna mayo and red onion or toasted cheese sandwiches.
