Best for… Lunchtime!Working in the Bethnal Green/Hackney area, Hurwundeki is a firm staple of my lunchtime foodie outings. Both a Korean cafe and a no-frills hairdresser, it serves delicious heart-warming dishes which are 10% off if you choose the Takeaway option, keeping your lunch at around a fiver.I have tried most of their menu and recommend it eyes closed. My favourites are the Mandu (dumplings), Jeon (Korean pancakes), Soya chicken or Spicy pork Udon and of course, the Bibimbap. If you’re not stopping by at lunchtime or dinner, it will be a little quieter and the perfect place to catch up with a friend or have a meeting because the setting is lovely and quirky. As a cafe, I would recommend trying the Korean fresh fruit teas and the hot chocolate, which are both excellent. hecticophilia.com
I recently tried this place for some Korean experience and had a wonderful time here. The food was excellent and had wonderful authentic flavours to it. I loved the kimchi tofu which was quite healthy and hygienic.
This restaurant is located in an area where there is not much to explore around, so you might have to settle for this mediocre option. The food here is over priced and you may not feel reasonable paying for the quality of food you get. The coffee though, is still decent. Visit it only if you are falling short of other options.
This place is not at all worth going. The workers are not at all professional. I was standing in a queue for coffee and I seriously don’t object that thing if the counter is busy but here the workers were joking around with each others while the customers were working. This type of customer service is not at all acceptable. I will never go here again.
The place offers Korean cuisine and the other half of this place is a hair salon. The coffee is extremely overpriced and the portions of the food are quite small and do not seem to justify its price. The food was average with a few hits and misses. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for me.
The place has a very relaxing and calming atmosphere which acts a great working environment. The service is not rushed and the staff is friendly and hospitable. The place offers great coffee but is a bit overpriced. The lemon cake here is a must-have. I would surely recommend this place.
Do not forget to carry your cash at the place ,cause that is the only medium of payment. I have been attracted to the restaurant from their very exteriors which is inspired by a very industrial appeal. But interiors are completely different with a very cute outlook. The menu has a small range of sandwiches and salad ,and is more of a snack place.
