Absolutely lovely place! I came here for a few drinks, their barkeeper is amazing! We had a few dishes to share and the service was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was great, especially the fries! Great location in a quiet alley just off Bethnal Green station, with outdoor seating!

For a bloggers brunch, we thought Resident of Paradise Row would be a great choice. An easy location, reasonable pricing and a brunch menu that sounded mega tasty. Unfortunately, the service when we attended definitely didn’t match the quality of Resident’s great food. Food first: I ordered the chorizo and poached egg with rocket, served on toasted E5 rye bread. I also asked for guacamole as an extra, which came on top of the toast with the poached egg. Instead of being silly and getting bottomless Mimosas, I washed it all down with a glass of Estrella. The chorizo sausage was fantastic – the perfect texture and enough spice to give it a kick without being overbearing for brunch. The poached egg was cooked well and even though I’m not a massive egg fan, I enjoyed it a lot – soft and runny in the right places. The guacamole was the star for me though – tasty and vibrant with a great smooth texture, it worked very well with the filling rye bread.Despite the food being excellent, we did have a few issues with service – we were seated upstairs and often felt ignored for long periods. Staff also began to move tables out from storage noisily around us which was rather offputting. There were also a few issues with the food arriving – one of the group recieved the wrong salmon dish and one person’s side dish arrived when she had almost finished the rest of her meal. As well as thisHowever – it must be said that when we voiced our issues, the manager seemed genuinely apologetic and took a sizeable discount from the bill. Overall, I’m hoping we caught them on an off day as Resident has excellent food – with service brought up to standard, this could be a lovely little brunch spot! mini-adventures.com

Mmmm green bean bruschetta. Recently 24 friends and I celebrated my birthday at Resident of Paradise Row. We had a sit down meal upstairs, with lots of drinks, easy mingling and great food, the works. The food was delicious (I had the green bean bruschetta, followed by the pork belly, both of which still haunt my dreams), the staff were absolutely lovely (really welcoming and attentive), the venue was spacious, with a great view over the bar. I had such a good night and can’t thank Daniel and his team enough.

This place is my new favourite bar/ restaurant in London! They serve really good chicken and beef dishes and always have good cocktails on the go. I’ve started going there for brunch/lunch and they offer free wifi and bottomless coffee. They have probably the biggest ‘living wall’ in London. You step out of London and into a garden!

Two visits in the space of 3 days means the experience couldn’t have been terrible 🙂 service and vibe of the place was great! Both times the food was of very generous portions, so if you are not very hungry prepare to doggy bag part of the meal. The half smoked chicken could have fed two people and the cap of steak for 2 could have fed at least 3. The second visit I went there we had to wait about 10 minutes for our table and the manager gave us complimentary drinks to start off which was great!
