  Not a place I’ll be returning to!. First off, the barmaid got our drinks order wrong, and we only ordered two Pepsi’s! She was possibly a new starter as she didn’t seem to know where anything was on the bar or till, however she still gave off the impression that she had been there a while. When we ordered our food, we were told that there was an element of the sharing platter we wanted wasn’t in stock and so we had to choose something else. No matter, that happens everywhere. So I ordered a Steak & Ribs combo, medium rare and fully loaded (with extra mushrooms, onion rings and corn) and my boyfriend ordered the King Size Mixed grill with a rare steak, also fully loaded.When our dishes arrived on the sizzling platters, they looked great, definitely boosted the aesthetics of the dish. However when I cut into my steak, it was cooked very well done, not the medium rare like I requested. Same for my boyfriend’s, and also his gammon was almost just a thick slice of bacon it was that dry and crispy! Now I know they came on sizzling platters, but after having the same menu for 3 years you’d think they’d be able to compensate for the plate being so hot by now! I also had to ask for my extra fully loaded bowl as the girl had forgotten to bring it. Though when she finally brought it out, I quickly decided it was a bad idea as my mushrooms looked like they had been sat under the hot lights for hours, my onion rings were soggy and deflated and my corn tasted like coal!Not one to complain unless something is really wrong, we only mentioned it to who I can only assume was the manager when he came over to clear the table next to us (which had been empty since before we came in) and asked us how our meals were. Kudos to him though, he was fully apologetic and offered to replace our meals and offered free desserts, however we were already half way through our meal and decided to just finish up and leave.This place is definitely consistent though. Consistently bad quality that is. Last time, my chicken arrived still raw in the middle! I shan’t be going here for food anymore anyway.

  I’ve eaten here twice now each time enjoying everything, food cooked perfect plenty of colour left in the veg and it’s hot. cooked perfect. Meat done as I asked and staff pleasant . Was a very good price 14 each for a starter main course and desert with a drink of tea . We stopped and had a few more drinks all at reasonable prices. Will beaming this regular place to eat. 9 out of 10 good food and great prices could have fed all 3 of us on 17 for a large meal each or under 45 for a 3 course meal each. All nice food i will be here again in the near future
