About
We are delighted to offer the Caf No.8 experience at the nearby York Art Gallery in partnership with the York Museums Trust. Enjoy a fabulous al fresco experience in our outdoor seating area, overlooking the beautiful fountain to the front of the Gallery on Exhibition Square. Glance up to see York Theatre Royal, Petergate and the adjoining City Walls, and, of course, the magnificent York Minster. Serving breakfasts, cakes, light bites and lunches and a variety of drinks, we offer the perfect start or end to your visit to the Gallery. And of course, we are just as happy to see you even if youre not visiting the Gallery! We are a family friendly caf and are able to provide high chairs on request. As well as a child-friendly menu at low prices, we also offer our younger visitors colouring pads and crayons so they can take inspiration from their surroundings and explore their creative side. We run drawing and colouring competitions throughout the year with prizes on offer! Just ask our staff for more information or look out for posters during your visit.Details

We ate lunch there. The food and service was very good. The cafe is light and airy with some interesting art on the walls. It is a very pleasant respite after a busy day touring the city and the art gallery.
Came for a quick coffee whilst I was looking round the city of York. Customer service was good. The male waiter was efficient and helpful. Will happily come again!
