I went to drakes today was totally disspointed due to the member of staff who has served me slamming the food down when I asked for a drink they huffed in my face and if looks could kill well .. Then they were so rude to say I have had enough today and snapped at me well so sorry for coming all the way from liverpool to York for the day and was recommended to you never again !!
This place is amazing! The haddock was fresh-tasting, the chips were delicious as well. A great stop for an authentic fish and chips meal. The pot if tea was also wonderful.

Good food, but when trying to order the pensioners special, you do need to be a pensioner, they don’t quote this upon entry and not specified in the window… Otherwise good…
