Absolutely amazing! Last time I went the service didn’t match up the the food but now the service is great and the food is even better. We had a table of 6 and spent roughly 15 each on the meal and were all really full and enjoyed it. All the times I have been it’s been packed out which tells you it’s a great place from the start off. Waiter was really friendly. Love this place.
Been twice now. Both times were really busy! Over 30 minutes waiting for a table in the small crammed bar. Food is nice, but priced so. Nice surroundings.
Good curry house! Yes it’s a chain but it’s a very good chain! Been to akbars in Leeds (both), Bradford and Manchester and this is up there with them! There isn’t sweetcorn in everything as i am alergic to it and I eat most curries just don’t eat the ones that say it has it in!!!! Great for meals with friends and families!
Akbars. Nothing wrong but there are better restaurants out there in my honest opion
Pretty good Indian. I took a while to try Akbars as a friend had said it was a little over-rated. I think that there is a bit of a chain feel to the restaurant, but the food quality is good. Depending on when you go, there can be a bit of a sense of being herded around, but I guess that’s the price you pay when a place is popular. If you prefer a more intimate surrounding, then this might not be to your taste but otherwise well worth a stab. Prices are reasonable too – the specials weigh in at around 8-9, so pretty reasonable.
After years of searching we have the best Indian outside of Bradford.. Fantastic fresh food.. No curry gob or arse.. We go once a week minimum.. Top marks.
Boxshifters. Sweetcorn in everything. Bland curries. Poor service. My waiter was so unhelpful I actually had to buy a drink without knowing how much it was going to cost. I had a decent starter by dint of the pulse and red onion salad which came with it.Wouldn’t go again. Have had outstanding curries in Manchester, Cambridge, and London, and this just ain’t good.
