Worst dining experience ever!. Our party of 8 went only to wait half an hour to be seated even though I had booked. Then waited another half an hour for starters to arrive which were not worth waiting for. Our drinks order took another half an hour which were brought to us wrong as the waitress didn’t,t know how to make a lager shandy or how to make one of the cocktails n their menu! Was then another 40 mins until our mains arrive, 2 of which we’re inedible due to cannelloni swimming in sauce and other mains not cooked properly (cold). We were given complimentary drinks for our wait which the manager said he didn’t,t know about. We refused to pay for our main meals and only paid for starters and drinks we ordered and swiftly left. I will never return here again as the staff we’re incompetent, managers rude and food way below par. Pizza hut across the road is a safer bet!
I took my girlfreind for a meal here recently and we were told to wait at the bar until our table was available so naturally I ordered two drinks. Eventually we were seated and whilst we were deciding on what to have one of the waitresses came and asked for ID off the two of us. I’m twenty and had mine available but my girlfriend didn’t have hers as she had left it at home. She is however 18 and had been here previously and had no issues. However the barmaids said she would have to ‘confiscate’ her drink dispute the fact I had already paid for it. So I asked if I could have it to save it going to waste, to which she asked her manager and I was told I would have to consume it at the bar. So after having two employees round our table embarrassing my girlfreind and making us feel that we were like two children attempting to undermine the law on alcohol consumption of the underage, I decided to ask for a refund and leave. What’s even more serial is the law actually states that any persons of te age of 16 and over can have an alcoholic drink with a meal at a restaurant if accompanied by and adult. Irrespective of the fact my girlfriend didn’t have ID, even if she wasnt 18 and we were not in the wrong. After being treated like children we decided to go next door to Chikitos where te food is excellent, fantastic value and brilliantly priced….and they have San Miguel on draft which is a BONUS!!!! Really appalled by the poor handling of the situation at the overpriced and over rated Franky & Bennys, the only good thing about it is the waitress we had on our first visit called Leanne, who couldn’t do more to provide an excellent service for you. Shame the rest of the staff let it down.
Fantastic meal experience. I visited Frankie and Benny’s with three of my friends over lunch time. One young girl was running the restaurant alone and i could see no manager or other member of staff around, not that this was a problem. The girl was very friendly, polite and helpful recommending suitable dishes from the menu and always making sure we were happy. We recieved fantastic food in good time and the waitress really went that extra mile to ensure our happiness. The name on the bill says Leanna. I will be returning very soon 🙂
After an hour (for a quick lunch ) in an empty resturaunt the staff who were busy laughing about their antics at weekend (personally I don’t care how cained they were) braught my food I went for steak whic was actually still ice cold and blue in the centre but looked like it had been tossed in a fryer and my fries came about 10 mins later . I did then not have enogh time to get a replacement steak as the staff were playing the I can’t see or hear you game used at this type of place .my wides portion of pasta was overcooked and also cold . Poor poor poor
Very expensive and over rated. I’ve been a few times quiet and busy times!I found the staff don’t really care if you enjoy the food or not – they don’t ask!!It’s the sort of place you go if your struggling to think of somewhere local!Foods not bad if you like watery bolognaise sauce and skimpy portions for a great expense!I wouldn’t recommend it if you like eating out there’s much better around!
