I’ve been to Chapters quite a few times, most recently for breakfast. I’d have to concur with some of the other reviewers – the food is great, the service is good but sometimes hampered by a lack of adequate English and it gets noisy very quickly when there’s a reasonable number of people. Don’t take the table by the stairs, either – I’m always terrified I’ll step backwards and fall down them, or that I’ll be bowled over by someone coming up in haste. The noisiness is also worse on weeknights when the Young Things come in after work for a drink. On one occasion I’ve left without waiting for dessert or coffee as the antics at the bar were getting a bit much. Food – good variety, well cooked and trendily presented. The breakfast menu is a bit light on if you don’t like eggs. I’ll certainly go there again, but will pick my time and seating location carefully. The view, BTW is of the Heath, and it’s lovely.

Nice modern restaurant serving British menu. I had their Sunday roast beef complete with Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, pickled cabbage, gravy and healthy portion of carrots and broccoli. The beef was very tender and vegetables were cooked nicely. Then greedy me decided to have sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was soooo yummy! I also managed to try my hubby’s dessert (cheesecake) which was equally tasty. The only downside is the place gets very noisy when it’s full house. But I’ll definitely come back soon for more good food!

wanted to write a quick review of our meal at the restaurant today and to say how disapointed we were with the terrible service. We arrived for a 12.45 booking and yes we waited ten minutes for the rest of our party (table booked for six) but we were not offered drinks while we waited, nor were we offered drinks when the others in the party arrived – that took at least another ten minutes. When we eventually placed our orders, the starters arrived in reasonable time, however we then had to ask for the plates to be cleared and it then took at least half an hour after plates being removed (if not longer) for the main meals to arrive. To the point we had to ask where the food was and if it would be much longer. While the food was fine and we quite enjoyed it, the endless waiting ruined it all. When pudding arrived (yes I accept that we did order two of the chocolate puddings which does clearly state on the menu a waiting time of 15 minutes) but laving waited at least 15 minutes only one of them turned up (two were ordered) so we again had to ask where this was – all the while concerned that the desert has not been ordered and we were facing a further 15 minute wait. The staff seemed genuinely confused by the missing pudding and if we had not brought it to their attention they would have been none the wiser that one was missing. The pudding (a few minutes later) arrived, but clearly had been sat somewhere in the kitchen as the ice cream was almost entirely melted. How hard is it to bring up all the order at the same time, rather than leave all but one and have to be asked by the diners to follow up. I really want to like this eatery, but just cannot. It took three hours to have lunch which with two young children present is way to long.

Am a regular at Chapters and always receive amazing service, attentive service. No request is ever too much. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. What can I say about the food……always spectacular.

Brilliant dining experience. The food, atmosphere, staff and service were worth the money that we paid. Most definitely going to return.
