Oh dear oh dear oh dear! Having dined at a few South African Spur’s there is no comparison! What a dire dining experience and I was gutted that we choose to dine here rather than any of the other restaurants in the O2!We were seated quickly (outside) but our waiter informed us that he would be with us in 3 minutes – 20 minutes later we were still waiting. Our table was filthy with no serviettes and after asking 4 times for the table to be cleaned, I gave up!We ordered the chicken wings with a blue cheese sauce. I think the chicken wings had freezer burn as they were old and beyond crispy! They smelt a little off too. As for the blue cheese sauce, well on attempting to dip into the sauce, the seal wouldnt even break. We turned the dish upside down and it was so congealed that it didnt move!We ordered steaks and hoped for the best. I ordered mine medium rare – it was raw. Im guessing a 3-5 second seal on each side. I love a bit of bloody meat, but this was beyond a joke; AND most of the meat was sinew. So not impressed Spur. I guess with the high footfall they dont have to work hard on keeping their food standards high as they always get customers. The only slightly redeeming factor was the waiter. He was run off his feet, but remained calm and polite. tartanspoon.co.uk

Defiantly doesn’t compare to the spur in South Africa. There was a 20 minute waiting rim which I didn’t understand because they were so many empty tables when I finally sat down. Took me forever to get served I actually thought they’d forgotten about me!! And even longer to bring the food!! I’m certainly not coming back here!! Nando’s is right next door!!

Had a nice large dinner on a random day out I had some quite decent starters nachos,peri-peri chicken wings and ribs (I know your thinking what the hell for starters bro ?) finished the wings which I might say was excellent standard tasting nachos a tab bit soggy it i attempted the ribs I would have not been able to finish my spur legends t bone steak so I had them make me a goody bag. I wanted my t bone rare I was given a well done dry steak still ok my 2 choices of sides was onions rings and spicy rice, amazing onion rings delicious spicy rice. Service was friendly never paid to much on the bill. Overall I had a decent experience but it was really missing that belt bursting belly buzzing moment. I was full but not satisfied.
