I love this place! Come here all the time with friends and family. There’s tons of variety and the price is reasonable so I can’t really complain. Only thing is it gets really busy at the weekends and they tend to run out of food but that’s alright because they refill often enough. The dessert bar is gorgeous as well!
If you ever desire to have a taste of over 30 Chinese delicacies in one night and for an affordable fee, then a buffet at water margin at O2 arena is what you need. Its a very popular Chinese buffet restaurant. It strategic location in the most popular music venue alongside cinemas makes it convenient to eat at this restaurant and go see a movie or a show afterwards. The restaurant is quite big with beautiful interior. One look at the walls, will give you an immediate sense that theyve been cladded by a gifted artisan and the lights hanging on ceiling gives the room a subtle and classy look. As you would expect, a restaurant of this class is always buzzed with excited energy and comfortably full with satisfied guest that you sometimes need to book two weeks ahead if you plan hosting your party there.I tried the fresh fruits first, then the rice dishes, salmon, king prawns, pancake rolls, and even made a stir fry from raw ingredients like noodles, chopped green and red pepper prawns and nicely sliced chicken just to make sure I get good value for my money. The meals were great however I preferred the fried king prawns more. They were very crunchy and delectable.Their staffs were friendly and helpful when I needed them.
The best thing about Water Margin is the amount of choice you have, i went for a buffet and although i ate a lot i still didnt manage to try everything. As with all buffets, some things were tastier than others, better cooked, some dishes were running low etc. but overall i found the food to be really quite tasty. My favourite bit of the whole experience is having them cook the food in front of you, for example. i chose to have steak, noodles and vegetables and they prepared it for me before my very eyes, full of flavour! – recommended! Its a great place to go with family and friends because of their wide variety of flavoursome dishes, it can get rather busy especially on weekends so if you are going with a larger group of people i would try and book! luckily when we arrived the queue was moving quickly.Although it was quite busy i found the staff and servers polite and friendly as well as very helpful in regards to replenishing the buffet table.Yes its a Busy, fast paced environment as are most if not all buffet restaurants, worth a try and value for your money!
Like most buffets, go for the quantity not quality. I have mixed feelings about this place, I like the interior and bar and some of the food is quite nice but the rest is subpar.
Buffets are my least favourites :/ I hate eating different types of food I always end up with tummy aches. I wish the teppanyaki would been a lot more better… You should make the chefs do cooking tricks and create big flames 😛 just kidding this is not benihana >-< I like the chef here he very funny
The most common issue with a lot a buffet joints is that most dishes are more often than not good but not great as opposed to a nice al a carte dish at a decent eatery. The dinner buffet which I had at the Water Margin boasted of around 40 dishes at a reasonable cost (reasonable or not, depending on one’s appetite). While the starters were quite a steal, the main course was way below expectations. The desserts made up for some part of it, but overall it was a good experience.
