Cafe 49 is very close to my student accommodation and I have just discovered this gem of a place. My chicken and broccoli pasta was so tasty and flavourful, and the second order I got a vegetarian pasta which the manager (I think?) had the staff add salad on the side which was generous. I am a big salad eater and can tell when a salad is flavourful – and this place doesn’t come short of that. The manager also makes the visit pleasant when he is around and I’ve had lovely short talks on my visits when ordering to take out. Overall, a great value for what you pay – which is so reasonable given extortionate central London prices and I cannot wait to try their breakfast menu soon. Definitely recommend this cosy and homey cafe 🙂
I went to 49 cafe for breakfast. I ordered a mocha and a cafe49 special breakfast. The mocha tasted like cheap chocolate drink and the breakfast was cold. It looked like they had pre-fried eggs and toast that was old. I’m not coming back again
