Asakusa is by far the most authentic japanese restaurant I've been to. The restaurant has little space but, so it's always best to make a reservation.…

Good Japanese food – place very small and crowded. So make sure to come early or book.Following dishes were good:- Gyoza; Tofu with egg; Vegetable tempura; CodSlightly of a miss:- aubergine – sauce was too salty- Sushi roll – rice a bit soft and mushy
My fav Japanese hole in the wall place – super fresh sushi and tempura. The agedashi tofu and the eggplant were also superb!! Highly recommended !!
Poor service, okay food. The service is not that friendly. The food is decent but the smell from the basement is not very nice which makes dining a bit unpleasant.
8/10 The Authentic Japanese with reasonable price in London!!. I has been passing the restaurant by bus all the time for 8years. Finally I went Asakusa with my friend last night (thursday evening) for first time. Asakusa has been running by Japanese family for 20+years. The chefs and staffs are Japanese. Please make sure to reserve a table before hand! It’s very very popular restaurant!!We ordered several differet dishes including sashimi, salad, two typle of maki(rolls) sushi etc… Overall ,The food was tasty and Authentic . (Btw,Both of us are Japanese) The price of food is not too bad for what it is. Around 17-20 per head for food. Very reasonable !!! Sake is quite expensive, Bottle of Beer is 3.50-4.50. Their Serivice is very simple and comfortably stright forward but sadly bit slower for Japanese restaurant in London. Inside of the restaurant is quite tatty. It’s a typical old Japanese restaurant in London. Anyway, This restaurant is good for go with friends and family. Very casual. Highly recommend! I’ll go there soon.
Over hyped. Over priced.. After reading the positive feedbacks we decided to visit this restaurant only to be placed in to a small unpleasant room. Since the food was what the over hype was about we decided to taste the overall quality of the ingredients that they were using and so we ordered several sashimi’s and sushi’s, the food was good and the quality of the ingredients did excel however I did feel that I’ve tasted far better for half the price at numerous Japanese restaurants throughout London area. The number reason to why I decided to write this review was due to their sheer rudeness in service, the staff seemed really fake and did not treat us like customers and so at the end of the meal we asked for the service charge to be removed only to be asked if they done anything wrong. We were then given a disapproved look as we walked out of the building. To sum it up, there are far better restaurants in London and especially with most of the reviews of the restaurant being from several years you have to question yourself to trust a review that has aged as much as this restaurant.I wont be visiting again.
Family run real Japanese restaurant. Sensational food, always fully booked, excellent value for money. Real urban legend!
Just had an amazing meal here this evening, service was brilliant and not too expensive either. Enjoyed it!
