Beani Bar is a little underwhelming. I would say it is your average quick-lunch place with sandwiches, coffee, and some pastries. It’s okay if you are in a hurry and don’t have time for anything fancy.
Beani Bar offer a variety of sandwiches and Paninis if you can’t be bothered to make an effort for lunch. I have also had an average baked potato here once in a while. It is extremely small so don’t expect a great environment to spend a protracted lunch in, but it gets the job done. I can’t say I was impressed by the value for money.
The Beani Bar is a place I feel deeply ambivalent about. It’s located on Torrington Place, right by UCL, and I when there often times for a quick sandwich at lunchtime. My memories are overwhelming fond, but when I dissect why this is, it tends to be because of the company. On one hand, the staff generally look like they don’t want to be there, and the food is a bit expensive for what it is. On the other, the ingredients are tasty and fresh, you can sit in with little hassle, and it gets the job done. At the end of the day, if you’re in the area, want a quick and healthy sandwich, you can definitely do worse than the Beani Bar.P.s. I once had a full cooked breakfast here. Let’s just say it didn’t inspire me to want to do so again.Screw Flanders.
