Quite a disappointing experience for my very first meal in London. I and hubby chose this restaurant because it’s conveniently located accross our hotel (Morton Hotel). It seemed like a good choice since we were starving and tired. However the food is not good. We ordered morning glory and also the double cook pork. The morning glory tastes all right, but the double cook pork was disappointing. The sauce is actually nice but the pork that they served contained more fat than meat, it was a bit disgusting for me :(We spent a total of GBP 30 more or less. Well I don’t recommend this restaurant since the price is high and the food is just so so. The good thing about this place is the nice service and the space is huge for big groups.
Went here as it is vlose to our hotel and we were tired. General feedback: Rediculously small portion of food with huge price tag. Made my first meal in london end with disappointment
I tried the soft shell crabs and chicken wings. I had stepped in at around 3.30 pm. There were only two other people in the restaurant. I was seated quickly and my order was taken promptly. The food also arrived in reasonable time. The food was ok. Nothing great to write home about. Wouldn’t go again. Wouldn’t recommend.
Never again!h. Table sticky, no tablecloth.Food: have had way better anywhere else. Seafood was obviously cooked from frozen. Monkfish definitely some other cheaper fish in disguise – again frozen. Fried stuff really oily and not fresh oil at that!Serving dishes were badly chipped.Service really poor. Had to stand wave and yell to get attention! Restaurant not even busy.To top it all, the bill was just a handwritten figure of the total with a list of dishes ordered written on a tiny piece of paper – no prices. We demanded a breakdown and had to recheck everything ourselves. Unbelievably that had to cheek to charge service. We just wanted to get out of there and chose to pay without confrontation. This restaurant looks like it is on its legs!
Amazing!. After being so impressed by the Leicester Square branch I just had to try the Russell Square branch. It is almost better than the China City branch in terms of atmosphere and decor! The inside is beautiful with a classy feel. It has a really authentic feel to it similar to the leicester square one. The food was very fresh. My chinese food is now sorted!
Worst resturunt ever service very bad food is tastless order spring roll as starter they bring it after the main course shrimp are frozen all food is made from old oil fried do not go there
Throughly enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. Was pleased to say the service was very kind and helpful. The food was of good quality and the portions were of decent size. Good food and service.
