I discovered Rising Sun serendipitously as I stepped inside with a friend to get out of the rain and cold. The warmth of the staff and the golden glow of the ambience more than warmed our souls. Their selection of cask ales is excellent and I tried their India Pale Ale which was exactly the way it should be, hoppy. My friend stuck to a Guinness. We ordered onion rings and they came quickly and they came hot (temperature not spicy hot) – just what we needed to warm ourselves. Saw that they have live football too. As long as I am in London, I will keep going back to this place.
I went to this pub the other night with my friends. Thankfully we had booked as the restaurant and pub was busy even on a Wednesday. I liked the place from the very first sight. The food was excellent too. We had Fish platter, mussels and asparagus starters for starters; baked cod and lamb liver for main course. Its a great experience overall. Definitely recommend it to others.
