I had the pleasure of having a lazy Sunday brunch at The Queen’s Larder. The bartender/manager was warm and welcoming. The fish and chips were delectable. The salad on the side and the peas mash astounding and the cider really added to the meal. It definitely helped that it was sunny and all around stunning outside. This is one meal that I’m going to miss for a long, long time to come. Highly recommended for solo diners and Sunday brunch seekers.

I walk by this pub almost on a daily basis. During the day it is calm and serves up delicious English food and by night it is busy and bustling with a huge crowd inside and out. The fish and chips you’ve got to try, because the fish-to-batter ratio is perfect. It’s not too doughy and crispy on the outside!

We attended this bar, and saw a member of staff pour around 5 litres of water over an innocent vulnerable girl, who ran into the toilet in tears. If you look around the internet you will see various reviews that talk about this pub having unreasonable manager with a unbelievable bad attitude.. But our experience is by far the worsted. At no point was there wasn’t any regret as both the manager and barman found this hysterically funny. The manager told us he did this all the time and gets away with it. He boasts that he knows all the rules and is able to use physical violence against customers and be within the law.We suffered around half an hour of aggression including physical force and verbal abuse. They were adamant that they throw us out while an innocent vulnerable girl soaked in water was trapped in a basement toilet. There was no was we would allow a scared girl to be trapped in a bar with 2 men, and waited for the police to arrive, and she left safely. There are lots of bars in London, where you can guaranteed a professional respect from the staff.Life is too short to use this public house.
