Comfort curries. I work round the corner and come here often. The staff are friendly and for 5 you can eat as much as you like. It’s a bit run down – hardly surprising given the low prices – and no one would claim that it’s serving haute cuisine, but it’s comforting unpretentious food, for which it’s easy to develop a fondness. The dhal is too garlicky for me but the vegetable curries are soothingly simple, and go down well with the naan. The dessert is almost always the same – rice pudding with Indian desserts – and shouldn’t be missed. If you’re looking for a uniquely rewarding culinary experience you should probably go elsewhere, but if you’re hungry and want some cheap tasty food which you’ll find easy to digest then this is a good honest place.
We ordered a takeaway to be delivered to Somerset House on the strand. A post code that they say on there website they deliver to.We started our journey into London and 15mins after ordering they telephoned me saying that the delivery driver would not deliver our dinner so the order was cancelled. We found them rude and would not order from them again.
Dreadful. Probably some of the worst Indian food ever eaten. Has put me off ever eating in an all-you-can-eat buffet ever again. The poppadoms were cold and stale; the naan was cold; all of the hot food was cold by the time I sat down to eat it. Everything looked to be swimming in grease. They also don’t serve wine or beer.
Nothing special but good quality vegetarian buffet on the cheap. I enjoyed everything I had there, but it didn’t blow me away.
