This place used to be great then of all things smash mash !!! Enough said !
Two for One Table Service?. Fancied a really cheap pub meal, and had been to The Gables before, so knew what to expect. However, this time, they’d starting doing table service in some kind of attempt at providing a decent level of service. I was slightly taken back by the fact they’ve started doing table service, and even more taken back with how shocking it was! – Really, don’t waste your money paying people to do this, it’s really not worth doing if you’re not going to go it well.The young waitress was lovely enough, but very poorly trained and the food seemed as though it had been reheated; for example mushy peas were dry?!The state of cleanliness had really gone out of the window too. Glasses were dirty and the toilets were horrible with graffiti daubed all over the cubicle doors.It’s a shame, it used to be a nice venue!
