Last night was our 3rd visit in 6 months and we were a little dissapointed that the menu had changed until the food came when as usual it was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection one of my friends asked the waiter why they’d taken the prawn cocktail off and he asked the chef who made her one nothing seems to be too much trouble the food is excellent but I would book as last night at 5pm it was full we left at 7 to go down the road to the Victoria theatre and it was still full
Hot Chocolate Fondant served with Cookie Dough ice-cream…. I recently went for my 22nd birthday with 8 family members, After much looking forward to dining there, I am happy to say that I had a fantastic meal, Upon arriving at 8pm on a saurday evening it was nice to see that everything was bustling but under control. We had pre-meal drinks in the bar then after about 20 min we were taken to the upper restaurant for our table; the first thing that hit me when walking up the stairs was the great decor and attention to detail in the planning. After sharing bread, oil & olives and a couple of bottles of wine we recieved our main course. My meal arrived and it looked fantastic, I opted for 10oz Sirloin Steak R, Yorkshire Blue Cheese sauce & a side of chunky chips; The steak was prefectly cooked and the taste was amazing with the sauce making a perfect complement, The chips were very chunky and I had just enough, overall the main course was 10/10. After maybe a 20 min break and another glass of wine we opted for desserts. I ordered a hot chocolate fondant served with cookie dough ice-cream, and a double espresso; I found that the dessert again did the perfect trick and when I recieved my coffee I got a little chocolate taster to accompany it. I would definitley say that this was a fantastic meal, yeah a few things wern’t perfect (The service was a little not polished and the bar was a little cold) but everything else definitley made up for it. Overall definitley a great meal, and I would highly recommend just for the steak & the glamourous experience of celebration that you can sparsley find in Halifax. Well done Brasserie, 9/10.
Avoid at all cost!. I was ejected from this venue tonigt the reasen our main course was outstanding the food well cooked and really tastey. However our starters were missing the rest of our party of 25 had theres and 5 were missing i dared to question where ours were and when 5 mins after everone had finished theres they were all cold i questioned the owner whe also was our waiter about the starters. I was called a Fat Bas**rd asked to leave and physically thown out by the bouncer who then threatened my whith violance if i said anything. This was infornt of my 13 yr old daughter my son and wife. So if you dont complaine this is good food but if you want to experience verble and physical abuse this is the place for you. AVOID AT ALL COST!
