This is probably the worst take away food I have encountered. I bought a 2 chicken soap, which was tepid and tasteless. It had the glupey texture of semolina and when I stirred with the spoon there was neither chicken, onion or other taste enhancers lying at the bottom of the cup. It really was revolting. So much so that I had to throw away, including the stale bread. I would rate this 0 out of 5.I’ve been trying to contact their head office, but can’t find it anywhere. Can anyone advise?

Firs of all, I get this is not a gourmet restaurant or whatever, and I will also recognize I’m not picky whatsoever with food, but I don’t think Bread Box deserves the bad rating it has gotten so far. I was starving, but I didn’t really feel like eating anything in some other places around. I walked around and saw Bread Box’s sandwiches and I thought I could give them a try: they had a large variety of sandwiches, they were cheap and looked pretty good. I actually stand there for a few till I decided what to eat – a 3 chicken salad sandwich. It looked pretty good, and it was heavy. It filled me up and I actually enjoyed it a lot. It was a cheap, nice eat, and I would totally have it again if I was still in London. The service wasn’t especially nice, but they weren’t rude either. So I won’t complain about that. I’ll just say it’s a nice place to go to if you are in a hurry, or you are starving. I would totally recommend the chicken salad sandwich, though other options looked orgasmic as well (i’m talking about the bacon and cheese sandwich :P).

The prices here are great, arguably what the prices should be everywhere. Service can be good (occasionally) but it can also be shockingly bad, dependent on who is serving. This morning I was served by a very rude woman who shouted at me because she hadn’t heard whether I wanted milk in my tea. Manners cost nothing, and surely there are plenty of polite people they could have hired
