We had a nice lunch here. I had the toastie and soup combo. However the soup was a spicy coconut-based soup and didn’t go with the toastie at all. The toastie was good and overall it was a pleasant experience. Coffee was reasonable although it could have been hotter.
I am having a holiday in London and Italy. Today we are in London, having Italian food (why not?) even though we are going to Italy. I will do a comparison of quality. I ordered the (apparently) famous beef meatballs with tomato sauce and pasta and a small rocket and Parmesan salad on top. It came really hot (a good thing) and looked amazing. The pasta and sauce was really flavourful and tasty and the meatballs were perfect. I don’t like rocket very much so I didn’t like the salad but that isn’t their fault. Over the years, I have been looking for the perfect Italian hot chocolate. This one had loads of tiny little marshmallows on top. That hot choc is the 2nd BEST I have ever had (Merlo coffee is first). I had a great experience in this place as the service was great and the meals came out quick. Do you think Italian food is better in London or better in its home country?
