Baby UNfriendly!!! Clear tourist trap, they don’t care about giving good customer service as they don’t expect you to return. After seeing bad reviews on lots of websites they don’t comment or change their attitude. They know that tired tourists will pop in as it looks nice from the outside. I was told to leave as I only wanted to order a drink and no cake. I said I would leave but would like to finish breastfeeding my baby. I was told to leave if I was not ordering cake. There were ZERO other customers and no one waiting for tables. It was miserable and raining outside and I had to leave with a crying baby. Shameful!!

Shameless Tourist Trap. I pass near here almost everyday on my way to work, and this morning I thought that I might as well give it a try for breakfast, although it almost looks empty. 6 for an average cup of tea and a dry pain au chocolat no better that the ones than you can buy from Tesco. They add service charge even if you just have a tea and a pastry, but maybe that is because they think that they are in the Ritz rather than in an anonymous alleyway near Borough Market. Honestly, they are many many cheaper and better places around the market and London Bridge for coffe and cake or lunch or breakfast. If someone wanst to drag you into this place resist, be rude, kick your feet in protest, avoid at all costs!
Ms xxxx xxxx. That is the most awful place in london… start from lila the owner and finish with the staff.please do not go there if you want to have a nice day
Appaling. 3.60 for a simple cup of tea, made with a cheap Lipton teabag. no price list written up. Exactly the sort of place that gives the area a bad name.
Great cakes. Ok, first things first, this place does have a reputation for rude Parisian style, rather than fawning American style, service. If you can’t handle this, may I suggest you go to a generic chain place where the staff are forced to be fakely nice to you all the time. That said and done, their cakes are fantastic, easily some of the best you’ll get in London. What’s not to like about a cake which turns out to be a divine chocolate mousse encased with dark chocolate and gold leaf, or a wedge of raspberry mousse with bits of dark chocolate cake embedded with. The calories, that’s what. But if you are calorie counting, you really shouldn’t come here, you fool! It’s quite spendy to eat in here as you get a service charge, and an additional cost on each item you buy, you aren’t forced to eat in though. But have I mentioned the cakes?
