SO YUMMY! Super friendly staff. Really cute place. I only had 3 small dishes – pork tacos, quesadilla and Flautas. The tacos were my favourite and I could have easily just eaten copious amounts of those. That said, all the dishes were very very good.
Santo Remedio has re-surfaced in Bermondsey after closing down their restaurant on Rivington Street in Shoreditch in summer 2016 due to problems with the premises.Guacamole starter was terrific. Nice chunky texture, and green notes from copious amounts of coriander. I would encourage people to try the version garnished with fried grasshoppers. They taste like peanuts. Nice thin purple and yellow tortilla chips.We had the beef, chicken and cactus tacos. The cactus was probably the best of the bunch, but I was disappointed that all of the tacos were all quite similar in taste and texture. Menu is quite limited at the moment because they are newly opened, so hoping that improves in future.I loved my elote side, and my companion was also a big fan of his black bean side. My companion found the tacos a little bland and complained that tacos were not served piping hot.
