Hide Bar sits at the Western start of the increasingly trendy Bermondsey street and offers a nice range of cocktails to whet your weekend (or weeknight) whistle. Nothing too special in terms of decor, but cocktails seemed to go down well with Sarah M londoncurryblog.com

Go for the tequila cocktails here – they’re not cheap but they look fantastic, taste great and you’ll roll out of the door feeling rather tipsy! whatsarahdoes.com

Our first stop on the bermondsey tour. The Hide is a beautifully laid out and lit bar at the top of bermondsey st. All of the staff were accommodating and very well versed on their products. We had some of their house creations that were fantastic and beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend this bar to any cocktail enthusiast.

After a meal on Bermondsey street we came to the Hide for a drink. This is a very cool bar, with a great ambience, low lighting & a nice soundtrack. The service here is fantastic, our waitress was full of some great recommendations. It’s not cheap but I had an amazing and unusual cocktail, my friend had a very different Spanish gin & the boys I was with were very impressed by the quality & quantity on the Whiskey list. This place isn’t the type of gaff for a big night but for delicious drinks & conversation is blooming lovely.

A fantastic – bordering on ridiculous – range of cocktails, average prices for the area. Service leaves something to be desired. Be careful what you order as the menu is very hit-and-miss, but the cocktail in a Chinese teapot is always a big crowd pleaser.

The Hide is a lively pub where you can go to catch up with friends over a few drinks. The selection of beers available are decent. The atmosphere here is what I’ve come to expect in pubs across London – buzzing with excitement! The food at The Hide is also quite decent, and should you limit yourself only to starters, then I’d suggest you go in for one of the platters they have (depending on the size of your group). The Mezze and the Mediterranean platters are quite decent and worth ordering if you like mild flavours. If you like something meatier, then The Hide or the Charcuterie are what you need to be considering. The steak tartare is quite superb. Also, if you’re looking for something a little heavy, then try one of the burgers. The service is quite good, and you won’t have to keep reminding the waiters about your orders even on busy nights. It’s a good place to visit if you’re anywhere near Bermondsey. gastronomicalgspot.blogspot.com

Walking distance from where we were living, The Hide was a good choice to spend an evening at. Truth be told, it should be avoided on weekends unless you’re the type who likes having to scream out every word you’re saying. The place is bustling with people crammed up inside and a lot of people outside catching their breath. I wouldn’t recommend The Hide to someone who is looking to enjoy a quiet delicious meal, but I would recommend it every day of the week and twice on Sunday for someone who wants to shrug off a busy week with friends in a happy atmosphere with good enough finger-food and some good Beer to choose from. P.S. I did leave my hat there, went back and never found it. So I took a bottle out for a smoke and didn’t return it.
