Great when you are in a rush, the queue was small, which isn’t a reflection of the quality, more of its understated exterior. The inside is simple as well, this is a cafe that gets to the point, the sandwiches were good enough and the prices fair. Wouldn’t suggest you go out of your way for this place, but if you happen to be in the surrounding area and just want to grab a quick bite, you could do a lot worse than to drop in @ The Kitchen.
Great little place to quickly grab some food when you’re on the go. It never seems to be too busy, which is a little disheartening. But they really do make some great food and the staff are all very friendly. I personally love their paninis, especially the ham and cheese one (what can I say, I’m a simple gal).Recommend this place if you’re near London Bridge and need a quick bite to eat that will keep you going.
Fantastic food, The staff were really friendly, very well priced, cleanand had a very enjoyable experience, Would definitly go back many many more times, i recomend this place to everyone, possibly the best meal i have ever eaten. Michelin star food at normal restaurant prices, 10 out of 10 for everything.
This is a non descript place in the Bermondsey area. Went there to meet a friend in the same complex. They have nice sandwiches for lunch and I had the soup of the day. The place is on the smaller side and for the price the food was really good and felt healthy. Not something I would make a trek out to the area for but if you are in the area – definitely worth a bite. I don’t think they open for dinner.
You can almost miss this one. Not so much of a sign board, not so much of a bright little shop. Just a small cafe you can walk by everyday and you would have never noticed. Enter @ The Kitchen and you see a couple of plain jane white chairs and tables along the sides of the cafe. Kitchen to the left, and the counter further down to the right. So, their breakfast options are very satisfying and they also have fresh hot sandwiches if you ask for them. My personal favorites are the Tuna and Corn with Cheese Sandwich, paired with a cuppa Hot Chocolate and the morning News Paper! Or you can alternate that with Cappucino and a Full English Breakfast (Veg – though i hear the Non-Veg version is just as good). While the meal is satisfying and is not priced by a regular cafe standard, i think the interiors are a bit sleepy. I sometimes got lost day dreaming while waiting for my order, and felt like i was sitting at an office cafeteria. There is no music sometimes and the average time to get your food is 10-15 minutes . Nothing earlier! So this is your go-to if you have time for a relaxed breakfast, but not a pit-stop for anything grab and run.Service – It’s okay. They smile once in a while but seem like they are too busy so don’t take too much time to decide what your order is.Price – I’d say its on the higher side.Food – 3.8/5Ambiance – 2.5
