Came across this Vinopolis affiliated restaurant, Wine Wharf when looking for somewhere to go on a tastecard (50% off most of the food). I found the venue to be exactly what I wanted to catch up with my friend – spacious, sofas and BOARD GAMES!!! We played Jenga and Connect 4. The menu is tapas/sharing platter inspired and you receive decent portions. Variety of wines to choose from and you can taste them first. You just order at the bar so no need to tip for service. Would definitely go back.

I have been here tonight with my boyfriend to have a romantic dinner. The place itself it’s so nice and cozy. Really nice atmposhere. You can decide whether you fancy sitting downstairs or upstairs. We prefer the latter. Good music and the space is well organized. Tables are distant, so you feel like you have your own privacy. To order, you have to go to the bar and you can decide to pay immediately or later. If you do later, than they ask you to leave a card that you don’t have necessary to use to pay.As starters, we ordered the pan fried greek cheese with red pesto, rocket salad and sun blushed tomato sauce and chorizo iberico e serrano ham croquettes: small portions but delicious. Service was super quick. Then we had two mains: steak with chips and pork with lentil and creamy mashed potatoes. The latter was pretty good, quite heavy for a dinner for me, instead the steak was cold. My boyfriend complainted and the stuff apologised and took the dish back to the kitchen.Less than 10 mins later,my boyfriend had already a new steak served on the table, but it was just reheated and not freshly cooked. Really disappointed for a similar place. I am not sure I would go again, for such prices you expect a different service.

Great place for wine lovers just opposite the Borough market. They have a good selection of wine. Quick service and great atmosphere. Leave some room for the great tasty food.
