Amazing dining experience. Had decent chicken wings, nachos and buttload of fries. Amazing cocktails such as Godfather, cinnamon fireball and ciders as well as Guinness black. Would definitely recommend this place for a fine experience to recollect. The Thames just enhances the whole experience.
Yum! We had the degustation and all the courses were very well made and tasty especially the duck which seemed like it was their specialty. The view was very nice and a great day out of londkn
This is a superfluous review. All has been said before. Simply superb and everything a 3 start should be. Welcoming, professional and superb food. And the fixed price lunch at 65 is a steal for food of this caliber. Stunning cheese souffl followed by pan fried cod and langoustine tail. Followed by cheese. Do have an aperitif on the deck overlooking the Thames if weather permits. The village of Bray must have the highest per capita 3 star restaurants in the world, as is the home of the Fat Duck in addition to the long time home of the Brothers Roux who have made the Waterside their home for over 30 years.
Another superb lunch at the waterside inn with the most attentive service. Aweesome!
Amazing. Food, Service were all amazing. Well worth every penny.
Completely bored with this moribund French haute cuisine. 3.5/10. I am lucky enough to have eaten at The Fat Duck, Tetsuyas and Noma, amongst many other wonderful restaurants around the world. I have also eaten at lots (too many) Michelin starred restaurants cooking traditional French haute cuisine, including Jules Verne, Sketch, The French Laundry, The Square and so on. The Waterside Inn is one of four 3 Michelin star restaurants in the UK. So it should be pretty good, right? I am sick of French haute cuisine and I was particularly bored at the Waterside Inn. Our food was fussy but definitely not tasty. This is almost always the way with this type of cuisine, food that looks good but tastes of very little. As far as the wine was concerned, the Waterside Inn-labelled Chablis and Medoc were particularly uninspiring. It took a significant upgrade to get an acceptable tasting Medoc. If you don’t know what fresh, vibrant and wonderful food is, go to the Waterside Inn. If you are happy living with an insular French view of cooking, go to the Waterside Inn. But prepare for disappointment if you’re wising-up to the new world of culinary possibilities. In which case, don’t waste your money here or anywhere like it. Instead, spend it with the new wave of wonderful places that have eschewed the whole French tradition; restaurants like The Fat Duck, Noma in Copenhagen, Sally Clarke, Providores, Caravan, Petersham Nurseries, etc.Down with Cordon Bleu, down with Michelin and down with the star seekers turning out this turgid overpriced rubbish. There are now many better alternatives.PS Even though the food made me want to slit my wrists, the service was good, though it doesn’t excuse the restaurant.
Ar$e puckeringly expensive. Decor is opulent, service is attentive yet inconspicuous. Food is cooked and served perfectly, and you are showered with little tasters between courses. I don’t believe it was worth the money, you can get fantastic food elsewhere for a lot less, but an excellent experience to have once, if your wallet will stretch to it.
