I was in John Lewis Brent Cross Place to Eat today. I chose that place such that I could have a good coffee and breakfast in the meantime I could work and waited for my son to finish his summer camp. I was so disappointed that I was told not to use the plug to charge my laptop. They offered for free charging for mobile phones, but not for laptop??!!! I was desperate to charge my laptop as I was running out of battery to finish my work. Always thinking to pay a premium in John Lewis for the food and everything and should have a good service. Not sure how much it costs if I charge my laptop for half an hour…..

Enjoyed a lovely prawn baguette, coffee and a Bakewell tart. Child friendly, very spacious and relaxed atmosphere. My review is about ‘The Place To Eat’ at Westfield Stratford City, there was no location option on here so I have put my review under the one in Brent Cross. The prawn baguette was quality, very tasty bread.Overall lovely coffee break.

I took the kids to the place to eat in Brent cross as we used to go to the place to eat in John Lewis in Oxford street before which we loved. In Brent cross the service was awful. The food was dry and lacked taste. It was 17 for 2 plates with awful food. I was so disappointed.

This is the in-store restaurant at John Lewis at Brent Cross. TPTE is usually a halt for me if I am indulging in any retail therapy at John Lewis. It is on the third floor and is a self-service or counter service restaurant. It is touted as a child-friendly space and boy, from the number of buggies you see harassed moms wheel in at all times, it is definitely a halt for the family crowd. They have a special childrens menu as well I think to cater to this segment. But what I am to be usually found wheeling in are my many shopping bags, far less demanding in attention, that I first stash on a vacant chair before I help myself to some beverage especially Caramel Latte with scone or shortbread OR the crepes OR some soup & salad. I have however never eaten a full meal here but I see many patrons who do. Sometimes I have first had breakfast here and then started on the shopping expedition through Brent Cross. They serve breakfast till 11.30am I think so that comes handy. It is reasonably spacious. It starts however seeming too foodcourt-ish as soon as the footfalls increase along with it, the din, and table clearing & cleanliness & service in general start wavering.
