Broadly speaking. A must-visit if you’re ever in Thanet. Broadstairs is the nicest town of those that lie beyond the Wantsum river. Peenst has some outside tables, which overlooks Viking Bay.It serves breakfast from 10am, whether you just want a coffe and a croissant or a full English. The latter isn’t on the menu (it’s not that sort of place) but you can construct a Full Monty, item by item, choosing from the eggs Benedict, field mushrooms, rare-breed sauasages, local bacon, et al which are on offer. There’s range of bar snacks and tapas items cooked to order by Matt, the owner- chef. The burgers are popular as are the organic smoothies. Try the superfood salad or fish stew with saffron.The kitchen stays open until 10pm.It’s a lively place at night, often with live music, open until midnight at the weekend.
