This evening we waited for half an hour for a takeaway, only to be told by a rather surly waitress that she had binned our order! and had been calling my name. This was clearly a lie as I’d been sat waiting on the bench rather patiently the entire time. It was only after a rather unpleasant exchange that they realised they had given our order to someone else that an apology was forthcoming. The older managers just looked on rather unbothered but said nothing! Then to add insult to injury I was told that they had run out of fish!!! Seriously bad service!!!… other customers sat in the restaurent area were complaining about dry fish and odd tasting battered beef sausages.Used to be a pretty good chippy but the management clearly have let the place slip.Give it a miss seriously… no longer the best fish and chips in the area and a shame it seems to failing so miserably.
I have had fish and chips in a lot of places but this has to be one of the best outlets out there. The cod is just so yummy. Fried to perfection. The chips just the perfect crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This place is an absolute favourite.
