Attractive sci fi-ish space at the back of the Science Museum. A chilled, hushed atmosphere, even when the museum is packed with children. The tables at the back can be draughty in cold weather. My companion’s mac and cheese was really nice. Toasty breadcrumbs on top of pasta nicely flavoured with plenty of Monterey Jack cheese. My own order of buffalo wings and grilled corn was less successful. I really wish people would stop listing any type of chicken wing as buffalo wings on menus. A buffalo wing is a specific recipe where the wings are deep fried and then tossed in a tangy spicy sauce, served with ranch or blue cheese dip and vegetable sticks. I’d consider a roasted wing to be acceptable alternative to make it healthier. This order was a braised wing in a sticky sweet sauce. Not terrible but not buffalo and flaccid instead of crisp. Grilled corn was nice, but needed seasoning.Well priced. Our snacks with a soft drink was under 20 quid including service charge. A decent place to stop for a snack when you are at the museums.
