Brilliant service, small portions but amazing quality food, very reasonable prices for the area. By far the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to in the area.
Overrated.Food is typical of indian food in central london… pretty hopeless, what’s worse though is the incompetent service.Don’t waste your time and money, plenty of better places to eat.Wish I could rate zero. volvodriver.com
A restaurant that captures the essence of Indian food very closely.Very courteous staff and quick service.Vegetarian dishes are very close to the authentic Indian taste. Saffron rice is a highly recommended side, which is essentially a staple for Indians. Team it up with Dal Aalu and you are set.It would be better to order the extra spicy version, if you have an Indian palate, otherwise the dish might taste bland.Overall, a good experience.4.5/5 for taste. 4/5 for service.
Indian resturant…visited on 19/05. The indian nonveg cuisines are quite up to the mark & similar to the actual indian dishes. The interior is quite good. But the quantity the give is quite dissatisfactory compared to the price they take. For take away they provided 10% duscount.
Excellent! I can’t imagine why it doesn’t have a higher score. The food was quite tasty, staff helpful with good suggestions. Nice setting. Easy walk from South Kensington tube. Liked everything about it.
Okay so here’s the thing. Whenever I hear of any Indian restaurant by the name of Moti Mahal I expect good, no great food, great service and a great bill as well. For all those who didn’t understand the ‘name part’, the original Moti Mahal is an extremely famous Indian restaurant situated at Covent Garden where the food is worth boasting. Of course this place shares only its name and none of the other attributes. I feel it was a bit over priced, but having said that the buffet included some nice chicken starters.
Disappointing. After ordering the fixed meal for two at Moti Mahal in South Kensington, the only positive thing I can really say is that the food was okay. Unfortunately I found that the service at the restaurant was somewhat lacking (a long wait on the appetizer, slow refills on the water, and having the wait staff neglect to offer us the coffee that was part of the fixed meal) and the cost was too high for the quality/quantity of food received.I did leave sated, but I was expecting better and feel that I have had food that is at least on par for quality and quantity for far less money in cities with far less diversity of Indian cuisine (e.g., Edmonton, Alberta).Perhaps things would have been better tasting and less expensive if we had avoided the fixed meal for two.
