Staff are friendly, and the place has a good vibe to it! Food comes out surprisingly quickly, but is somewhat lacking in quality. Good for if you need…

I think we can all firmly agree, that after a night out on the town, throwing back copious amounts of alcohol, cutting some shapes and creating memorable regrets, there is an undeniable pang of hunger that strikes like a hot iron to the stomach. Of course, there are endless options of fast food services available, but what if you fancy something more substantial, in a comfortable restaurant setting, that also holds a 24 hour licence. Look no further creatures of the night, as VQ on the Fulham Road, Chelsea, can offer a den of naughty nibbles, and cocktails for those of us, like myself, who just aren’t ready to throw in the evening towel.VQ is a clean cut, casual establishment, with rows of tables and a bar. Staff are welcoming and as cheerful as I am feeling at the expectation of a sit down 2am meal, with a good old cup of tea, and side order of Prosecco, and of course, an espresso martini. *cheers* The menu has a lot to offer. Burgers, hotdogs, full English breakfasts, pancakes, even for the slightly more health conscious of us, salads, but for me, at an unholy hour in the morning, counting calories is last on the agenda. The hot dog with onions, ketchup, and a side order of fries was belly busting in size, too good not to finish every last bite. The fries were crispy, and moorish. A portion of hash browns. Golden crispy little treats that were seasoned well. The Full English breakfast with poached egg option, was plentiful, fresh and really warm. However, it would be nice to have the option of plain bacon instead of crispy, but was a great touch having the beans in a ramekin. The espresso martini wasn’t quit to my taste, disappointingly. VQ’s Cognac spin, was overpowering in flavour, resulting in an unfinished cocktail *sacrilege*. With that in mind, there seems to be an on going theme with restaurants and bars adding unique ‘twists’ to certain classics. Of course, this can work well, but usually, like that of re makes of classic movies, modern takes are unnecessary disasters.Dessert, I ordered the banoffee pie but received the chocolate brownie. Usually I would bring this to the attention of the waitress, but pushing nearly 3am, my ship was starting to sink, and my bed was sending out SOS signals. Even though it was the wrong order, the brownie was chocolaty, gooey, naughty goodness with a creamy topping of vanilla ice cream. VQ is a great little venue for late night stop off’s, breakfasts and lunches. So if you have the extra cash to spend, avoid the fast food joints and head here instead.

The only perk is that it’s opened 24 hours 7 days a week. Otherwise, VQ is rather overpriced and unimpressive. The matcha green tea latte was so poor- please don’t order it!! We ordered an Oreo milkshake too which was the only nice thing.
Arrived and was told there is a 2.50 cover charge per person. Seated and ordered wine that only came in a carafe. Overpriced plonk. It’s also compulsory to order a meal with your food. They brought a fruit salad with my wine. Included (but thankfully not billed for) in my meal was a dirty hair which the waiter assured me was not from the cook. Not going back.
Great and fast service excellent choices you can turn up at this place anytime great after a night out before you go home it’s always packed in here
Fine place where to eat or have a fulfilling snack. I ended up there after a quite long walk, and as I was starving.. I decided to try the place out. The portions are big as in many places, which are more focused on the American cuisine. I had a few pancakes with fruits, which I enjoyed. They came separated and not one on top of the other. Also, they were hot and tasted good. The atmosphere is not the top out of other London’s locations, but the place is worth a try.
A good place to go to at 4am, when you’re hungry and tired, not when it’s the middle of the day and you’re looking for a good restaurant.Went here after a night out, and because I was sober I noticed how the food is not actually that great. Ordered VQ omelette and only ate half as it was that bad. My friends all got the burgers with fries and were happy with those, and I must admit that the sweet-potato fries were very good. The service is obviously not one of the best, as they have to deal with drunk people all night, however keeping that in mind they seem ok. Don’t confuse the line to Maggie’s with the entrance to VQ 😉
