Disappointing.. This is my local Pizza Express and I’ve been here several times. Each time I go with hopes of improvement, but unfortunately the restaurant just does not work. The layout is open plan, resulting in the restaurant being draughty, extremely loud and always, always freezing cold.There is an open kitchen at the back of the restaurant which is a wonderful idea, but it is accompanied by an open bar on the right hand side, and the constant whirring of coffee machines and clanking of drinks makes it virtually impossible to hear the person next to you. The staff, although relatively friendly are all largely incompetent, the waiters and waitresses wear jeans and trainers with their uniforms, and it just looks awful. I’ve never been to this restaurant without asking to be reseated – on several occasions I have booked a table for two people, for an intimate dinner and been seated at a table for four. The food is un-faultable, and the set menu option is fantastic value for money, although choose carefully as I have payed almost 10 for one of their Legarra pizzas – which has a hole in the middle! I would not recommend this Pizza Express, I really enjoy the chain and this restaurant drags the name down. If you fancy some reasonably Italian food then just pop across the road to the local Prezzo, always packed, always warm and always has a fantastic ambience!

Corked wine and the staff would not except it was corked yet it smelt and tasted like vinegar, Then onto the food, stale goats cheese again wasn’t till I pointed out the mold that they accepted the issue a total let down .. on the bright side my friend can’t eat gluten and they were very accomodating in that they allowed for her to bring her own gluten free base .. I would like to stress this review is slightly out of date but I’ve not heard anything that would change my opinion as yet

Same as every other Pizza Express. We went midweek with a voucher from their website.
