Popped in here Sunday lunchtime for a drink and some snacks. Really impressed with this place, and it’s really cosy too.We tried the spiced wedges, honey and mustard sausages, chicken goujons and chicken wings. All delicious, and really big portions!

The acre of Brook Green is filled with gastro pubs, cafes and small restaurantsOur manager booked a team lunch at Brook Green Hotel by Shepards Bush road, it proudly displays the Youngs company sign outside. Whilst walking into the place, I noticed the pub bar was reception for the hotel. Since we wanted more of casual lunch, our manager requested the sofa area. The pub has the relax at home vibe, chilled out staff people having pints of beer.Light lunch meals on the menu are from 5, and the bigger mains are around 11.95 mark, theres the traditional pub food favourites fish and chips, burgers, sausages and mash and pastas. Most of the party got the special sandwiches from the Blackboard. As the booking was pretty last minute and I already brought lunch from home, I just went right in for the desserts. A molten of brandy pudding with hot tickling toffee sauce slowly run down the sides of the pudding. The added bonus had to be the brandy ice cream, the boozy pudding was a big hit for me and 5.95 was a serious steal. thefoodconnoisseur.co.uk

During my parents’ stay in London, I was lucky enough to try some great eateries including the Young’s pub at Brook Green Hotel in Hammersmith. The ambiance was delightful and cheerful so we settled in for a couple drinks while waiting for food. All the tables were colourful and inviting. Real flowers enhanced the ambiance at each table. Our only complaint (and it is a big one) was the time it took for our food to arrive to the table. We arrived when the dining room was only a 1/4 full and yet our food did not make an appearance for an hour and twenty minutes. Incredible! No apologies or explanations were made either.Thankfully the food was good — very good — so our minds were distracted. In fact, the burger was perhaps one of the best we had ever had.So would I recommend the place? Yes. The ambiance and food were excellent with the only caveat being check with the kitchen on the estimated cooking time before ordering or you might be in for a long and unfortunate wait. thejoyousliving.com
