Stopped by this cozy pub one day while shopping at Hammersmith during lunch time. We were quite early (around 12pm) but they were serving lunch which was great as we were hungry. My mom was in town and wanted to try traditional fish and chips. We placed an order for two fish and chips. The bartender was extremely friendly. While waiting for our order she brought us our drinks. The pub has nice seating making it feel like your in someones home rather than a pub, they had these nice leather couches and stuff. Our order arrived in good time and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh cod with hot chips and mushy peas. Overall a really nice pub to have a meal in or to grab a beer. Good location and really friendly staff. The only reason I knocked off half a point was because they didn’t do take away. But overall a lovely pub.

The Hammersmith Ram is a great pub in Hammersmith. The interior is warm and cosy, the floors covered with beautiful persian-stye rugs in jewel reds and blues. Dark wood beams and deep, comfy couches make you want to sit back and stay all afternoon, away from the rain, cold, and everyday hustle and bustle of London life. We sat ourselves by a lovely little window at an old wooden table.Another perk is the affordable menu. I only paid 10 for a delicious meal and a glass of rose. I selected my lunch off of the light meals menu, a delicious halloumi salad with couscous. The halloumi was perfectly prepared: crispy on the outside, melty on the inside. A word of warning, though: If you’re gluten intolerant, the halloumi appeared to have been fried in a very light bread crumb coating for extra crispness. The dressing on the salad was a sweet and flavourful balsamic vinaigrette. The couscous wasn’t anything special, but that’s really not why I selected the halloumi! My friend ordered the mushroom risotto and it was superb– wonderfully creamy! Risotto is one of those meals I always worry about (I’ve had some pretty bad ones), but this was excellent. What really pushes this old pub from a 3 to a 3.5 is the inviting, cosy atmosphere. I will be back!
