I just love their fast serving. Good taste try some asparagus and chicken they are very delicious. I am sure you will love at suzu. The place is good, simple and friendly opposite to shortlands on hammersmith.
The owner of Suzu used to run the Japanese food section of Selfridges, so you won’t be disappointed! In all it is a great place to get good quality Japanese food for a decent price. It has got up in price since I went there last, but it is still wonderful value and excellent quality. I’d recommend the chicken gyoza dumplings, the potato salad, chicken katsu curry or their chicken noodles. Always with some plum wine too!
Fun decor, sushi is good if nothing spectacular but very reasonably priced. The music consists of a lot of house remixes of pop songs but apart from that very nice and quiet.
Had a very bad experience with the staff there, especially the Japanese lady who seems to be the boss. I booked a sushi making class and due to bad transportation that day I was late. I don’t live in London and it was my great effort to get there. I already explained that to them, asking them just to let me sit in and continue with the whole class. It was actually my loss if i missed some of the lesson at the start. The English lady let me in and already gave me the plum wine and materials for the sushi. Then when I already sat down, took off my coat and put on the gloves to prepare for making sushi, the Japanese lady came to me and asked me to leave because I was late. She didn’t listen to my explaination nor her staff. This was extremely rude, especially when another staff already let me sit in. I thought the Japanese usually provide good customer service but this is not the case with this restaurant. I would never go there again nor recommend any of my friends to go there. This Japanese staff completely put me off no matter how the food is. This is not to mention that the setting of the restaurant is not up to standard. It’s like a takeaway shop rather than a restaurant. I would not give it more than one star.
Pretty basic and not cheap but the sushi tastes fresh and the spicy tuna was beautifully spiced, which is unusual. Add to that a friendly staff and all in all I can happily recommend it for a good satisfying lunch.
Really good sushi and Japanese food in a casual environment. Suzu also runs instruction classes on making sushi that are highly rated
