So as an introduction to the London Sunday roast I feel as though the Andover has set a phenomenal standard to try and beat. We came here on local recommendations and not only is it a charming and friendly old style pub but the food was incredible – Both in size and quality. The lamb roast was enormous and the pork and beef were just a tad more manageable but equally tasty. The service was spot on and eating in front of the open fire just sealed the whole pub experience. Can’t recommend highly enough and will definitely return.
We went to this place without a reservation and I guess we were lucky that we seated after a little wait. The manager was nice and friendly and so were the other staff members. The place was beautifully decorated and it had a lovely, cozy atmosphere. The house wine was great. I tried the traditional fish and chips and my boyfriend tried their Leg of Lamb and it was great. It was huge in size as well. The highlight of the dinner was the desserts, apple pie dessert and chocolate brownie was plentiful in size as well as being a delight to eat. Great food and great environment. We totally loved this place.
I went to this place with a friend. We were nicely welcomed by the staff. The menu was extensive and their service was great. We both ordered the pies and chicken. The shepherds pie was great and we also had fantastic gastro pub with best chicken and mushroom pie. Mushroom pie was the best I have ever eaten. I would really suggest this place.
I visited this place yesterday with my friend. We really liked the place for its dcor and atmosphere. Staff was generous and polite. We had the roast chicken, roast beef and the fish and chips. All meals were excellent in taste and in portions. The desserts were amazing as well. We had the best time there. I would definitely visit this place on my next trip to London.
I was out with friends and we ended up at this rare gem. Eating well in a London pub is a difficult thing. Then one goes to Hammersmith, through the various streets of the neighborhood and finds this wonderful local. The pub there is little to say in itself the place is typical, cozy and warm, the food is traditional and very good and the service is great and courteous. I will be back for sure! Thank you
I was with my family, we saw the place and wanted to go on our stay in London and were the most welcoming and especially our visit experience in the city. We arrived for dinner and were not yet open kitchen, from that moment feel the hospitality of the place! We were greeted with much warmth; the staff is very attentive and felt like friends from the start! Tried very good peanuts and of course the amazing beer. They opened before the kitchen and prepared two dishes dream a foot sausage and meat and dessert a warm chocolate cake with ice cream, WOW!! This is a place you cannot stop going on your visit to London.
I went to Andover arms with my girlfriend last weekend for dinner. We visited this place for the first time and it was a great experience. The ambiance was so beautiful and the staff members were very helping. And if I had to pick a stand out dish it would be the Scallop and Squid starter. Main courses were extremely tasty and sizeable. We will definitely be visiting regularly.
