Came here for dinner on a Friday evening. Really lucky to get a table as it got crowded a short time later. I had wine rather than beer and went for Picpoul de Pinet which was v good, Plenty of options on this menu for small plates. They bring them out whenever they’re ready and encourage sharing. Got to try lots of different plates and each one was delicious. We tried the smoked haddock croquettes, the flatbread with hummus, courgette flower stuffed with goats curd and honey, trout with chorizo and tuna carpaccio on charcoal toast. My top three were the tuna carpaccio, the flatbread and the stuffed courgette flower. The staff are really nice. Its a dog friendly place so it was really nice to see dogs popping in and out. What a really great gastropub should be!! whatsarahate.blogspot.com

A cosy place for a friendly diner, or a warm sunday lunch. Lunch and not roast because you won’t find there your traditional food pub, despite the atmosphere of the place. The card features pizzas (the place is part of the amazing Oak group) but mainly small platers that you share with your table. We had some hummus, ink squid croquette (amazing!!!), ham croquette, butternut squash ravioli, and duck foie gras burger. All really good with some surprising and delicisous tastes, a creative way to cook. We will definitely come back to try more things, as every platter seems to be an experience. The place was really busy so unfortunately the staff was running a bit everywhere, but it is always a good sign 😉

Crazy good pizza and small plates are an amazing complement! We shared two small plates and then shared a pizza, all of it was brilliant and was enough to keep us content! Lamb meatballs, truffled Brie on walnut bread followed by Gorgonzola pizza! You must try this place, great setting, efficient staff and brilliant food!

I did not expect such delicious food and cozy environment, walking past this local pub most of the days. I’ve no idea why the pizzas here, both rich in variety and also very crispy and full of flavour are not listed in top 10 for london. the word gastropub is mostly misused or you just get a few aperitifs that dont even count as a starter in many pubs but this one deserves the title for an excellent gastropub. there is also a lovely bar for drinks, laid back tables for groups and dining room upstairs.

Great Local, Fantastic Food. Having recently moved to this neighbourhood, i was pleased to see 3 local pubs on my doorstep! this is by far the best – a really friendly, unpretentious pub with the best food i have had for a long time.Go on Sunday for a chilled out roast and definitely try the puddings, they are to die for!
