Very Poor Quality Food and Service. Booked our group of 12 people for a pre Christmas Sunday roast, only to be greeted by rude staff who ignored our table the entire afternoon. One roast beef plate arrived on the table and the meat was severly uncooked (couldn’t even be cut with the knife provided). Wait staff were advised, but took no action, or showed any signs of caring. This has been the worst dining experience I have had in London since my arrival 18 months ago. There are far better dining options available within a 5 minute walk (including a discounted Tesco sandwhich). They also made mistakes with our order (side effect of not using a pen and paper, and relying on your memory), and rudly accused us of the mistake. There was also string in some of the meals.
Wonderful service and atmosphere. Visiting a friend in the area this weekend we visited the Pear Tree for lunch. I had bought my young daughter along this time and found the staff were not only helpful and courteous, but hey kept my daughter entertained. Such a lovely welcome and the food was just great! Thank you. We will be back again. I just wish I could move the whole pub and it’s staff to Warwickshire and call it my local 🙂
Love the pub HATE the quiz. The pear tree is my favourite pub in London and the perfect place to while away a Sunday afternoon until the pub quiz starts at 8 and we all have to leave…… Change the day?
YUM. Our favourite pub, the food is delicious. But we think sundays are not pub quiz nights, maybe they should move it. 🙁
NOMMY. Best Sausage Rolls I have Ever Tasted!QUIZ NIGHTS ARE FANTASTIC!
Our local treasure in W14. Excellent and interesting food; excellent value; pleasant friendly banter with the staff, in a cosy warm atmosphere, only a walk away from home. A visit is always an occasion to look forward to.One gripe; the bar staff turnover is perhaps a little too high for them to know their stuff well. Although pleasant, polite and friendly, they’re not always the most efficient. But don’t let it stop you, it’s great.
Absolutely delicious food. Sad only that the atmosphere didn’t math te quality of food.
