The Lion has upped its standards in the past months. Sunday lunch is a must, although it’s popularity is swelling from Sunday to Sunday. Good selection of well cooked meats and vegs beautifully cooked. Keep up the good work

Staying for 3 nights at end of August. Nice old fashioned coaching in. The feature rooms are very quaint. Food good. The village of Buckden where the pub is is very nice and handy to explore various areas.
Had lunch with a group of ex colleagues. The staff thoughtfully placed us on a table in a light and quiet area. The service was excellent and the food was very good. A lovely old building in a very interesting area.
Really good food and excellent well kept ales. Very good variety on the menu. Service is truly outstanding. Can’t wait to come back.
