The Petisco or Petiscos is a gastronomical habit that has its roots in the Iberian Peninsula but is better known by its Spanish name Tapas. Cooked in a special way that concentrates more on quality than quantity: special little snacks that accompany drinks or make small delicious light meals or large meals made of small snacks. A partnership between the Todiwala's and Portuguese Vinhos, the leading importer of Portuguese wines into Britain, Mr Todiwalas Petiscos will confine its menu to tasting platters or petiscos featuring seasonal British produce and ingredients, including sustainable seafood. The idea is to allow people to discover, share and enjoy a world class cuisine in a truly convivial atmosphere of sharing. Bombay-born Cyrus Todiwala, a regular on BBCs Saturday Kitchen, will inject his experience and on-going connections with Goa to offer his unique take on an enduring Portuguese gastronomic tradition.
