ok we went to have a meal ,as we had been lots of time before .well on going in the door ,cash only ,and the mangers was very obnoxious . The food was cold .chicken wings not cooked properly chicken bites cold ,The manager said take the food from the bottom not the top .what rubbish he speak .ok steam was rising ,but the food was not up to scratch some was very salty .noodles was hard like it had been around long time. we will never go back again. Also when asked about the owner before ,he said it does not mater if Chinese or not, well i do think it matters if you don’t know how to cook it then don’t bother. it was utter waste of money

Absolutely delicious food and well worth a visit! I wasn’t expecting much to be honest, but I was pleasantly surprised; my friends booked my birthday there and the staff were lovely and polite, the food was of a great quality (honestly one of the best Chinese I’ve had in a very long time), and the overall experience was pleasant. Since then I have been coming back for more with family and friends and have never been disappointed. With regards to decor, I noticed that they greatly improved it. Overall, a definite recommendation.

I was very impressed with the Weng Wah. The service was polite and friendly and the food was tasty, cooked well and there was plenty of it. The prices were very reasonable and the choice of food more than enough. In the event you are visiting London and are near Edgeware it is well worth a visit, it is ideal to feed hungry kids so much so my two begged to go back the following evening. However be under no illusion there is no swanky decor the inside is basic but a window seat allows you to people watch the busy high street to your hearts content. Great food, Great staff. Great for kids.

How did this place get a 3.2 stars rating is above me. There’s no need for further comments, the users before me were very good at it!

Hi there guys,I made my first ever trip to Weng Wah Buffet not too long ago, and I was genuinely surprised; unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. One of the only things this buffet has going for it, is its location, as it is conveniently placed a few minutes walk away from Edgware Station. But this seems to be one of the only things working in its favour. Its exterior doesn’t do much to sell the restaurant, as it looks relatively run down and battered. Sadly the inside isn’t much better. The buffet looked dodgy and the food looked like it could’ve been there for hours. To be fair, the food did no taste all too bad and it did not make me sick as I thought it may. For a 10 pound all you can eat buffet, you cannot really expect more than this. This is not aided by the unfriendly service experienced at several times in the meal.If you are desperate for a meal and there is nowhere else to go, sure go for it, but if you have a choice of restaurants, try not to pick this one.

For most restaurants, a 2/5 would seem like an insult. For Weng Wah Buffet, it almost feels like scoring it as such is paying it a compliment. I shall endeavour to explain why. If you come out of Edgware tube station, turn left, then very well cross the road, there sits Weng Wag Buffet in all its glory. When I say glory, I’m speaking tongue in cheek, as it is about as ugly and run-down as a restaurant can get. The set-up is simple enough – you pay about a tenner, and you help yourself to an all you can eat buffet. The food is abundant, and its really a lottery as to whether you’ll find it hot or cold. There is a sneaking suspicion as you load your plate that it has been sitting there for many hours, and, sure enough, it does look miserable upon the plate. In fairness, it doesn’t taste half bad, but all the while, you’re wondering if it’s going to make you very sick. The fear is in part dispelled as parents bring kids in the load up their plates, implying this is a place well known by locals for doing exactly what it said on the tin. I’d add that I asked for a glass of water. The waiter said that usually they charge for tap water, but for me, he’d make an exception. It was quite unclear whether this was a joke or not. (I should add, the food certainly did not make me sick!)So, overall, a triumphant 2 points. Because it is a scuzzy restaurant, but unabashedly so, pulling off the scuzzy as well as can be done.Screw Flanders.
