A very pleasant surprise. I stumbled across The Winery by accident – and was very impressed. The lunch I had was absolutely delicious (I had the sea bass and my friend had one of the vegetarian dishes). The service was very friendly and efficient, and we just loved the look and feel of the place. We will definitely be back!

Wow – what a place – fantastic. Wow what a place – we have now eaten here several times and it has always been fantastic, great food and value for money. Excellent service, lovely surroundings and great choice of wines by the glass.

Shame on you. Visted this marvellous venue last Summer, only to return a week ago. I wish I hadnt. I was greeted by the fact that my table (which i’d booked a month ago) had infact been booked in by the one of the owners of the business next month. But, they did manage to get us in. Though my poor wife felt the young man was very flustered and not able to cope with this situation. The waistress seemed very stressed and there did not seem to be any line leaders or managers present. Though I did see the alot of waitresses in the kitchen laughing and joking. Maybe if they were out in the restaurant and recommending me some more wine for my empty glass. I wouldnt have had to go to the very busy and obviuosly understaffed bar on a Saturday night. Our order was taken. Very efficiently by an older gentleman (manager perhaps at last?) who’s knowledge on wine was exceptional. We began to relax. Our starters came and my ribs which id had last year were cold in the middle. I tried to get someones notice but alas no one available to talk to. The rest of my party had the famous blade of beef. Very nice. I had the chicken linguine wihich was forgettable.Service last year was second to none, food was inspiring (as per there motto Inspiring wining and dining) Whats happened to this place!!!!

Good first time visit. I went to the winery to dine a couple of weeks ago, previous to this I had only been in for drinks. I really like what they have done with the place it is almost modern and old fashioned at the same time, in an extremely old building i think they have pulled this off quite well and what a lovely setting especially in the summer to be sat out by the river in the sun with a glass of rose. I went at lunch time with a couple of the girls it was a tuesday lunch time and to be honest we were one of only a few tables in there it was really quiet indeed, we ordered and the food didnt take long to arrive, I had the deluxe burger whilst my friends had Salmon, sun blushed tomato and chive fishcake it was really good apart from i asked for my burger medium and it came out well done. My only complaint was that we were sat there along time in a quiet restaurant and the service was really slow, it took along time for our plates to be cleared and along time to get coffee but saying that I will visit again.
