The Tiger is a brilliant little pub in the heart of Camberwell; many years ago it was extremely run down but under new ownership this place has got a whole different vibe going on! Never eaten in here but the food does look good but what I can comment on is the selection of beers is good, the setting is very good and has also got a quaint smoking area at the back. Only thing I wish is that it had a more or bigger TV’s! I would love to go and watch some sports there but I end up resorting to other places sadly!
I went last night and there are a lot of mice around the floor. I dont even know why they are allowed to service food. Dont go.We said to service staff about the mice, and they only said what its an old building.
Tiger. Went in Monday 27 January. Went to bar to order 2 meals and bottle of wine. I broke my neck two years ago so can’t move my spine or neck, don’t look good. Stood at bar for 10 minutes while punters behind me got served. When my partner complained she was met with sniggers. Message is don’t expect to get served if you are handicapped in any way or look different.
I love The Tiger! I used to work there so I am slightly biased, but it has fast become the pulse of Camberwell. It’s shabby chic and a great pub, great atmosphere. The food is great too.
This pub is situated in Camberwell Green and is a 10 minute walk from Denmark Hill station. It is a small pub, usually quite busy and full of locals. The atmosphere is lively and the music is upbeat. Fortunately, it is not too noisy and one can enjoy a quiet conversation over drinks. Prices are cheap, a pint costing under 4. Service is efficient and we hardly had to wait to be served at the bar. It is a suitable pub for anyone looking to have a drink for a cheap price.
