After waiting over an hour for my delivery where the main was cold and a side was missing, I called them to see if I could get my side ASAP I was then spoken too terribly, told it would come later and the phone put down on me! And the the rest of the food is nothing to shout about…. Never ordering here again!!
I used to like this restaurant a lot, because the good food and decoration. But now the deceiving price and food makes me really hate it. If you order the stewed fish, they’ll tell you it doesn’t come with vegetables, and ask you to order vegetables, 3 each. But then I always find out it does come with vegetables like potatoes and celery, and there is only a little amount of the vegetable that you ordered. The accompany stuff, tea, rice, are always charged in the most expensive way, either by person or by bowl. They could even tell you a fake price and then when the bill comes it’s different, if you ask they’ll say we waiters don’t deal with prices. So in the end we two people paid 20 each while only ordered one 19 fish dish.I’m Chinese, but I really hate Chinese people do business like this, really hate the dishonest behaviour.
Disgusting. I never leave negative reviews as I don’t think restaurants deserve it most of the time, although I was particularly disgusted this time. We ate our spring rolls and dumplings which were nice. Then whilst the wait for our main courses our waitress started retching and then proceeded to throwing up in kitchen. Wow, pretty disgusting stuff! What really got me was the fact that she didn’t stop serving and go home. She just kept going! Without stopping a beat as if this was completely normal. Then when I wanted to leave we were handed the bill and told we would have to have the bill rounded up to 15!!?? We paid it and left with other customers. Absolutely gross would never contemplate coming here again
Bland. Food had no flavour at all. I had special fried rice, prawn toast, spare ribs, pancake roles and won ton. I may as well have been eating fresh air. No seasoning or flavour at all. On the positive side this could mean that there was no MSG added to the meal but i doubt it. I got a home delivery which arrived on time but I would not order again.
Wuli wuli good!! For a 5* Chinese look no further. These guys really know how to serve up a taste sensation. For a non greasy flavoursome and reasonably priced take away this is your place. Excellent!!
Impression. Friendly and helpful service but the beef with black bean sauce and the starter platter for two was not up to Lamoons standards. We will stick with them.
Errm not remotely Sichuan!. I visited this restaurant after reading many positive reviews about their Sichuan food. The food, while tasty, was missing the most obvious ingredient of all – the Sichuan pepper. That familiar tingly, numbing spiciness of the food was totally absent. Itw as tasty but not authentic at all, and we know from being regulars at Soho’s most popular Sichuan restaurants. Still, if you’re tempted to give this place a go, the saliva chicken, fried aubergine with pork and green beans were the best things on the menu.
